At the beginning of the 2009 year the class worked on creating agreements based around the school values and vision statement.

The agreements were created under the headings of:
Communication
Learning
Problem Solving
Safety
Movement
Treatment

LEARNING

We will always listen to instructions, share our ideas and knowledge. We will try to contribute to class discussions and not be afraid to ask questions.

PROBLEM SOLVING

We will work as a team when facing problems. We will try and see things from everyone’s point of view and use the habits of mind.

MOVEMENT

We will patient at all times waiting for our turn and when moving around being aware of our surroundings.

SAFETY

We will sit on our chairs appropriately. We will walk around the room with care and use equipment correctly and safely.

TREATMENT

We will be kind and considerate to others and respect their belongings. We will trust each other because we are a team.

After forming the class agreements an affirmation was pledged to work with them during the 2009 school year.

2009 YEAR 7 HIGH FLYER AWARD

The 2009 High Flyer award is based on the 18 Qualities of an LNPS Graduate. As students are encouraged and supported to take charge of their own learning, the High Flyer Award is designed for students to take ownership of their own achievements. The students will collate and present evidence of these Qualities throughout the year.
